Reviewing and Editing Expenses in Conversations with Frank

How to ask Frank for an expense breakdown, edit transaction details directly in the conversation, and create rules without leaving the chat.

You don't need the Transactions page to review your expenses; you can do it right inside a conversation with Frank. Ask Frank to show your expenses, click into the breakdown, and edit any transaction or create a rule without leaving the chat.

Ask Frank to Show Your Expenses

Start a conversation and ask Frank for the expenses you want to see. For example: "Show me all expenses for the past six months." Frank takes a moment to process the request, then responds with a chart of your expenses for that period.

You can scope the request however you like, by timeframe, department, or category, instead of using the filters on the Transactions page.

Drill Into the Breakdown

Click any month in the chart to see the breakdown of expenses for that month. Each transaction appears with the transaction type, department, and category Frank selected automatically.

Edit Transactions Without Leaving the Conversation

If you disagree with how a transaction was classified, you don't need to go back to the Transactions page to find it. To change it:

  1. Click the transaction in the breakdown.

  2. Change the transaction type, department, or category.

  3. If you want Frank to handle this transaction the same way in the future, create a rule for Frank to follow.

Reviewing the Rules You've Created

To see the rules Frank is learning from or that you've confirmed:

  1. Go to the Transactions page.

  2. Click Frank's learning in the top right.

Here you'll find rules currently in learning mode and rules you've already reviewed and confirmed for Frank to follow.

Summary

Ask Frank to show your expenses by timeframe, department, or category; click into any month for the breakdown, and fix transaction types, departments, or categories, and create rules, directly in the conversation. Review those rules anytime under Frank's learning on the Transactions page.
