How do I connect my accounts?

A step-by-step guide to quickly and easily connect your bank accounts to Frank

Updated today

This article provides a step-by-step guide for you to quickly and easily connect your accounts so that Frank can get to work!

Getting Started

Once you have created an account and are logged in, navigate to the Banking page. You will be greeted with a "Get started" message and a button directly underneath.

  1. Click the "Connect Your First Bank" button

This will take you to a new screen displaying available bank feeds by region:

Plaid - for US Banking and most Canadian Banking connections

Flinks - for Canadian Banking where Plaid is not an option

Akahu - for New Zealand Banking

ACSISS - for Australian Banking

2. Select the bank feed that applies to you by hitting the "Connect With..." button

3. From the list provided, search for and select your banking institution

4. Use your account credentials to log in

Tip: Be sure to have your login credentials handy for any accounts you want to bring online to speed up this process. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) may be required when connecting your account.

Once Frank has made a secure connection, you will be asked to select the accounts from your bank that you want Frank to have access to (e.g. Checking, Holdings, Credit Card, etc.)

5. Select the accounts you want to bring online and hit "Continue"

Best practice is to connect all accounts related to the business for Frank to get a complete financial profile.

Once you have confirmed your account connections, Frank will begin to upload transactions and you will be redirected to the home screen. This process may take 10 to 15 minutes for all transactions to register.

Adding, Updating and Removing Accounts

If you have more than one bank account or credit card you would like to connect to Frank, you can do so by selecting the "Connect New Account" button at the top of the Banking page.

You can also update, re-sync, or remove existing accounts at any time from the Banking page. Just pull up the account you want to change, select the three-dot menu in the right-hand corner, and select the action you would like to take.

Please note that removing an account will delete all associated transactions and/or rules that have been created for transactions related to that account.
