Connect your Housecall Pro account to Frank and you can ask questions about your jobs, customers, invoices, and revenue, all pulled live from your account at the moment you ask.
Before You Start
You'll need a Housecall Pro MAX plan to access the API. If you're on a lower tier, the API key option won't be available in your Housecall Pro account.
You also need to be an Admin user in Housecall Pro to generate the API key. Office staff don't have access to this setting.
Get Your API Key from Housecall Pro
To generate an API key in Housecall Pro:
Sign in to Housecall Pro and go to My Apps → All Apps.
Search for or scroll to API Key Management and open it.
Click Generate API Key.
Name the key and select Full access for permissions (Frank needs to read across your account data).
Click Generate key and copy it.
Connect to Frank
Open Frank and go to Integrations.
Select Housecall Pro.
Paste your API key into the field and click Connect.
That's it. Frank is now connected to your Housecall Pro account.
What You Can Ask Frank
Once connected, you can ask Frank questions about your Housecall Pro data in plain language. Frank pulls the data live at the time you ask. Some examples:
"How much do my customers owe?": outstanding balances across all customers.
"How many customers do we have, and how many jobs have we ever done?": total counts across all records.
"How much revenue did we invoice in Q2 2026?": revenue on an accrual (invoice-date) basis.
"How much cash did we actually collect in June 2026?": revenue on a cash (paid-at) basis.
"Give me a P&L report for this month.": revenue and cost data combined. Note that expense items like payroll and overheads aren't available in Housecall Pro, so the cost side will be limited to what's recorded there.
You can ask about customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, schedule, employees, and line items. Frank will tell you if a particular question can't be answered with the data available.
How the Connection Works
This integration is data on demand.
Frank doesn't run a background sync or store your Housecall Pro data. Every time you ask a question, Frank makes a live request to Housecall Pro and returns the answer for that session.
A few things to keep in mind:
Read-only: Frank can read your data but won't create or change anything in Housecall Pro.
Response times: Questions that pull a large volume of records (all invoices, all customers) can take up to two minutes to answer. This is normal.
No historical trends: Because data isn't stored, Frank can't trend or benchmark Housecall Pro data over time, or combine it with data from your other connected accounts in reports.
Disconnecting Housecall Pro
To disconnect, go to Integrations → Housecall Pro and remove the connection. If you want to permanently revoke access, you can also delete the API key directly in Housecall Pro under My Apps → API Key Management. Deleting the key in Housecall Pro will immediately stop Frank from being able to access your account.
Summary
Connect Housecall Pro to Frank with an API key (MAX plan required, Admin access needed) and you can ask Frank about jobs, invoices, customers, and revenue in plain language. The connection is live and read-only, Frank reads your data on demand and doesn't store it.
