Where to Find It

Look for the megaphone icon in the left-hand menu. That's your CFO Briefings hub; it lists all your active briefings and lets you create new ones.

Preset Briefings

Frank comes with a set of ready-made briefings you can switch on with a single click. Each one covers a specific financial focus:

  • Monthly Financial Review: Frank checks the P&L, cash position, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and flags anything notable from the period. Delivered on the first of each month, covering the previous month (e.g. the 1st of July covers June).

  • Sales & Revenue Report: A focused look at how your revenue is tracking.

  • Daily Cash Snapshot: A summary of your current cash position.

  • Spending Pattern Alert: Frank looks for expenses that are growing or shrinking, plus flags recurring costs like upcoming SaaS renewals you may have forgotten about.

  • Weekly Business Top-to-Bottom: Top-to-bottom business review. Frank checks everything and gives you a complete rundown.

To turn one on, tick the checkbox next to it, then choose the cadence you want to receive it.

How It Works

When a briefing is due, Frank opens a new conversation in the background, without you needing to be there. He pulls the relevant financial data, analyses it, and emails you a summary.

The email contains the key highlights. If you want to dig deeper, click the link in the email to open the full Frank conversation and explore all the data he pulled.

Custom Briefings

If the presets don't quite fit what you need, build your own. A custom briefing lets you specify exactly what Frank should look at, how often, and when.

For example, you might set up a weekly briefing that says:

Show me all sales from the past week and the current month. Let me know COGS as well. How much are we spending on marketing? And flag any noticeable expenses I should pay attention to.

You then choose:

  • Frequency: daily, weekly, monthly.

  • Day and time: Monday at 7:00 AM, so you start the week informed and can act on it

  • Who receives it: defaults to you, but you can add a co-founder, business partner, or bookkeeper's email to send them a copy too

Once you're happy, click Create Briefing. It will appear in your briefings list straight away.

Test Your Briefing

After creating a briefing, click Run Now to fire it off immediately. You'll receive the email within a few moments and can see exactly what the briefing looks like before its first scheduled run.

Summary

Head to the megaphone icon in the left menu to set up CFO Briefings. Toggle on a preset or build a custom one, choose your schedule and recipients, and Frank will handle the analysis and deliver it to your inbox automatically.
